Reforestation should become a part of our culture ...
A crucial part of our rebuilding process

Reforest Lebanon started cooperating with local communities, municipalities, and other NGOs across the country in order to localize and study those endangered high-risk forests, and to derive a concrete plan for a feasible reforestation.

Project 1 -  Establishing two nurseries  (click here for more pictures)

Project 2 -  Spreading awareness

A public bookshelf is planned to spread knowlege and awareness. It is free-of-charge, 24/24 open library for all citizens and guests of a certain village/city. Its aim is simply to spread awareness about serious environmental problems that the city/village is facing and provides solutions to these problems.

The Reforest Lebanon association planned to place 100 units of this Bookshelf at 100 selected cities and villages across Lebanon. These cities are chosen to have environmentally degraded conditions.

Project 3 -  Reforestation of the Holy Valley of Qadisha

"The following pictures were taken on the first of February 2011 in the Qadisha valley on the road from our Lady of Hawka to Saint Marina Blawza. To save our valley from becoming an arid ground, we have to act now.
In just a small zone, we were able to count more than one hundred cut down trees. One can easily see that thousands of trees have been cut down in the last few years."  [Reference: Mr. Bachir Maroun    email: bmaroun@gmail.com]
